Moving into 2015...
April, 2014 brought about the creation of Angel Gowns of WNY, Inc. In September, 2014 I received our Incorporation and 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity status'. November brought widespread coverage of Angel Gowns of WNY and our mission via WGRZ Channel 2 News Reporter, Heather Ly. She contacted myself in October to do a story on how Angel Gowns of WNY came to be what it is today. We aired on November 17, 2014 and because of her story, we doubled in size and dress donations very quickly. On Christmas Day, December 25, 2014, The Elma Review, a local newspaper, ran a story on Angel Gowns of WNY and our partnering with the Iroquois High School National Honor Society. The students created no-sew tied preemie blankets for our Preemie Project to be donated to local NICUs for their preemie babies.
January, 2015 and now into February, we currently have 116 Volunteers across 10 states and 2 countries and we have been able to donate hundreds of our beautiful Angel Gowns all across the USA. We've overnighted special request Angel Gowns so that these babies, who have passed suddenly, would be able to be dressed in an exquisite Angel Gown donated and created in love.
2015 brings about more growth for us as I work on securing Corporate Sponsors and Grants to help fund our work. Without these important monetary donations, we are unable to support our work or ship our Angel Gowns to the babies that need them. We will work on hosting a Fundraiser as well as online auctions to raise money. Our Marketing Plan is already in the works while we grow our Social Media presence via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Etsy and more.
I'm incredibly proud of what we, as a family, have been able to accomplish is just 9 short months. I look forward to continue growing our family, our opportunities and helping as many babies and their families as we possibly can.
Much love ~ Missy
